This is the most common question we get! It’s a myth that shaving or taking hair off your face will make it grow back differently. Leah is made specifically for the delicate skin on a woman’s face. Leah removes the top layer of dull skin and buildup, plus it also takes away peach fuzz. What you do on the surface of your skin won’t change how your hair grows back. Your peach fuzz will come back just like before—no thicker or darker.

Begin by cleansing your face, ensuring it’s free from makeup and impurities. Apply a moisturizer or oil to your face as the lubrication helps the blade glide more smoothly across the skin and help reduce the risk of irritation.

Immediately following dermaplaning, you’ll want to cleanse your face gently. A gentle or mild cleanser will remove any debris or residue left behind on the skin’s surface. Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleansers, which can irritate the skin.

Next, apply a hydrating serum or face oil. After dermaplaning, your skin is ready to absorb products better, maximizing their benefits. Use this ideal window of 1-5 minutes post-treatment to deliver nutrients deep into your skin with your favorite serum, face oil, or moisturizer.

For sensitive skin, avoid retinoids and physical scrubs for 2-3 days after treatment. 

Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to allow your skin to recover and reduce irritation. Don’t forget to wear SPF afterward to protect against sun damage.

Sensitive Skin:
Leah can be used on sensitive skin, but it's important to use gentle pressure and avoid over-exfoliating to prevent irritation.

Acne-Prone Skin:
It’s not a good idea to dermaplane if you have active acne, as it might spread bacteria to other parts of your face.

Dermaplaning is safe for all skin types (Oily, Dry, Combination, etc but should not be used in areas where acne or skin irritation is already present).
