1: Scotch Tape
The scotch tape hack is an oldie, but a goodie. If you haven’t heard of it, don’t fret - it’s super simple. Take a small piece of tape and place it sloping from the outer corner of your eye to the tail end of your eyebrow. Follow the line you’ve created with your liquid liner to create the perfect angled wing!
Call upon this piece of cutlery to save you time and frustration when attempting a wing liner. Use the handle end of the spoon to create the line from the outer corner of your eye to the tail end of your brow. Now place the spoon end against your eye, face down so the bottom of the spoon curves outwards away from you. Use the natural curve of the spoon edge slightly above the original line you created and use your liner to finalize the wing, connecting to the inner corner of your eye.
3: Credit Card
You’re credit card already takes a hit financially, so you may as well use it for your beauty needs too! Simply grab your card and create the perfect liner guide by angling the card from the corner of your eye to suit your wing preference. Finish by carefully drawing the liner above your lashes and voila!
Not got any tools to hand? No problem! All you need is your trusty felt-tip liner. Using the nib, angle it to your preference from the outer eye corner and stamp it down to create a line. Use this as a guide to fill in the rest of your liner and you’re good to go!
5: STICKY NOTE
Struggling to find that pesky roll of scotch tape? No worries, a sticky note will do the job! Perfect for all you stationery loving students out there, all you need to do is follow the same steps as in number 1 and you’re sorted!
6: Bobby Pin
Need a wing on the go? Grab that bobby pin out of your hair and get your liquid liner ready. Simple coat the edge of an opening end of a bobby pin with your liner and stamp it on the outer corner of your eye going up towards your brow. Fill in and finish the rest of your liner for the perfect wing.
If your freehand liner game is pretty good with the occasional wobble concealer is your friend! Simply dab a little of it near the wing and use a small brush to clean up the line for a sharp and fierce-looking finish.
If there’s a liner look that you know is flattering for your eye shape then create your own template. Take a small piece of card or flexible plastic and cut out the shape to suit before using it as a guide.
9: Floss Stick
A floss stick doesn’t just do what it says on the tin. Coat the little piece of string with your eyeliner and dab it onto the outer corner of your eye to create that perfect wing angle. Fill in the rest and you’re done!
